Just ahead of the Steam Next Fest, the rogue-lite action RPG HEIR TO THE THRONE unveils its new name. And who better to lend their name than the mighty deity from the game itself? From now on, the adventure is called:

VARTHOS – HEIR TO THE THRONE

The release is planned for Q4 2025, with the demo making its debut at Steam Next Fest — playable in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Anyone diving in should prepare for danger, action… and definitely a few screen deaths.

About Varthos – Heir to the Throne

Varthos calls you to his side. Battle hordes of monsters and undead in this gripping action RPG — all of them with one goal: to kill you. Fight in the bodies of fallen heroes — if one fails, Varthos will awaken the next warrior for you. Death is only the beginning: die, be reborn, and benefit from the experience and achievements of your predecessors. Fight, die, repeat — the battle for the throne of the world has begun.
