Cubism is celebrating its 5th anniversary today!

Since its original release on the first Meta Quest back in 2020, the game has grown together with the Quest ecosystem, receiving updates over the years like hand tracking, new puzzles, passthrough support, and a local puzzle editor. The game also received support updates for the release of new hardware like the Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3 headsets.

While Thomas Van Bouwel has spent the past couple of years focused on developing his next game, Laser Dance (coming to Early Access later this fall), he still wanted to mark the occasion with a small quality-of-life update on Meta Quest.


The 5th anniversary update includes:

5 new languages (Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Polish & Russian)

7 new songs added to the soundtrack

Improved readability of the menu in mixed reality

Under the hood, significant updates have also been made to the engine and rendering pipelines. This will help future-proof the game, so he can keep supporting it for the next 5 years of XR hardware!

This update is not planned for SteamVR at this time.
