Dying Light: The Beast — Part 3: The Monsters

Wrocław, Poland – Sept. 11, 2025 – We’re thrilled to share the third chapter in our road to Dying Light: The Beast launch - a short new trailer where Kyle Crane embraces the Beast within to face the horrors of the night.

And speaking of deadly, zombies have always been at the heart of Dying Light. With Dying Light: The Beast, we wanted to push them further than ever before - not only visually, but also in how they behave, react, and sound. They are the backbone of the experience, and we dedicated enormous effort to making them unsettling, believable, and unforgettable.

How do we take them to the next level compared to the previous Dying Light games?

Authentic look & behaviour - Zombies have been overhauled to feel more realistic and unsettling, with a stronger sense of their former humanity and a more terrifying presence

Immersive zombie sounds - Growls, shrieks, and movements now convey raw, desperate intensity, emphasizing the horror of the infected

Evolved Volatiles - Their movement, obstacle navigation, and pack coordination were redesigned to feel more threatening and unpredictable

Reactive combat and physics - Highly aggressive zombies behaviours, instant counters, short cooldowns making encounters intense

But that's not all! Read our recent dev blog to learn more about the zombies in Dying Light: The Beast.

To help us create unforgettable experiences for all Dying Light players, we invite them to join the conversation on Discord, Facebook, X, Instagram, and YouTube - we’ll be waiting!
