Scale the Spires: Midnight Horde’s Trailer & Demo Unleashed!
Parkour meets Vampire Survivors in this gothic reverse bullet hell with base building.
Malmo, Sweden - 29 August 2025, Indie developer Carry Castle is excited to unveil a brand-new trailer and updated demo for Midnight Horde, a gothic bullet heaven with parkour mechanics and castle building.
The trailer showcases new content, including new environments, and several new bosses and was premiered as part of The Mix Fall Showcase 2025. The demo has received a new resource system and a sliding mechanic, among other impactful updates.

The PC (Steam) release is planned for 2026, exact date TBD.
“Midnight Horde is my personal challenge to make the most objectively fun and flow state focused game I can make as a solo developer. It blends everything I love: gothic vibes, roguelite progression, and fast, skill-based movement, into an experience that’s both intense and expressive.”
- Per Fornander, the Developer at Carry Castle

Key Features
Parkour System: Dash, climb, and outwit the swarms across haunted rooftops while delivering mayhem to the waves of monstrosities.
Castle Building: Strengthen your fortress between runs, unlocking upgrades and defences to tip the balance.
Roguelite Progression: Each night is different: experiment with builds, explore, and adapt to survive.
Gothic Atmosphere: A dark, hand-crafted world inspired by classic gothic scenes, dripping with atmosphere.
