Deceive Dictators, Topple Tyrants: Turn-Based Strategy “The Great Villainess” Launches New Demo Today

TOKYO — July 17, 2025 — The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily, the crowd-controlling turn-based strategy game produced by One or Eight (LOST EPIC) and Alliance Arts, kicks off the revolution with a new demo ahead of next week’s PC launch on Thursday, July 24, 2025 for $29.99.

Can the persuasive power of modern-day media in a pre-Internet era turn a continent against itself? In The Great Villainess’ new demo, witness the first spark of an unstoppable rebellious flame and plant seeds of doubt into the minds of Imperial forces. Pump out a steady stream of propaganda, recruit a rebellion, and fight a war of misinformation throughout the prologue and first chapter.

The free-spirited Duchess Scarlet may not mesh with the rigid aristocracy of the Empire, but she's no killer…is she? After conniving Imperial captains frame her for murder, a time-traveling, tech-savvy livestreamer named Lily saves her from the guillotine with moments to spare.

As a single lie kickstarts a war, fight fire with fire falsehoods with falsehoods by broadcasting lies from Lily’s high-tech airship. Deceive enemy commanders into repositioning their forces and cut off their supply lines. Exploit exposed vulnerabilities with calculated flanking maneuvers during tense, turn-based battles to shift momentum and morale in Scarlet and Lily’s favor.

Every tense, turn-based victory presents two options: capture defeated captains to bolster ranks, or mercilessly massacre enemies to level up combat experience. Forge bonds with new allies to unlock stat-boosting Unison Skills. Each path forward will affect both Scarlet and Lily’s personalities, alter the storyline, and lead to one of multiple endings.
