Conflict Is Surging as War Robots: Frontiers Kicks off Electrifying New Season

The TACTICAL MECH SHOOTER electrifies the Frontier with a Spider Titan, New Mode, New Robots and more!

Amsterdam, Netherlands (June 17, 2025) | There’s a buzz in the air as MY.GAMES’ War Robots: Frontiers kicks off the new Power Surge season today. Featuring a new mode, exciting new Spider Titan (Volta), and new robots, weapons, and more, Power Surge is a bold new step for Frontiers after over 1 million players have already been fighting over the Wild 10 during Season 1.

VOLTA, an Electric Quadruped Menace surges unto the battlefield
Once part of the Freecon security detail, Volta was defeated by rebels during Tortuga’s Uprising, a worker rebellion which sought to claim independence from the dominion that owned the mining outpost now known as Tortuga Space Station. As an act of defiance, The Lace’s team has restored Volta to fight on Tortuga’s side.

As an Assault Titan, Volta completes the set of Titan powers, along with Matriarch on defence, Alpha as a key tactician, and Grim as a powerful flanker. Volta is designed for frontal attacks, carrying a powerful weapon, and equipped with lots of tools that allow it to outplay and outmaneuver the enemy.
Volta’s pièce de résistance is its traversal. Not only is it the first quadruped Titan, but it is able to double jump. This Titan truly has the jump on the competition,

Short Circuit (Titan Gear): Releases a static discharge that bounces off to nearby targets. It deals damage and prevents enemies from using Gear.

Galvanic Screen (Titan Gear): Generates a barrier that blocks projectiles and slowly travels forward. All enemies passing through it receive damage.

Tesla Coil (Titan Gear): Activates a built-in electric weapon that automatically picks a target near your crosshair, dealing damage per shot to a random Module.

Volta is available to all players that reach level 50 as part of the progression which unlocks robots, titans and plenty of other weapons and gear in your fight for domination of the Wild Ten.

New Loki Robot, Weapons and other gear:
An excellent infiltrator and scout. Like its trickster god namesake, Loki has a few tricks up its metal sleeves to keep enemies on the back foot. It can utilize its Core Gear, Holographic Decoy, to activate its cloaking technology and deploy a holographic projection, confusing the enemy while it makes its escape or a counter-attack.

Its armor is strong for a Flanker, and its anti-shield firepower means it can easily take on other Flankers… though it should avoid picking fights with heavier War Robots. Like other robot types, the Loki cockpit features a unique Core Gear:

Holographic Decoy (Core Gear): Loki becomes invisible and projects a copy of itself for a short duration. The decoy has more armor and shields.

In addition to Loki, new weapons and gears have been added that can be used on all existing Mechs as players customise their War Robot.

Halo (Light Weapon — Shotgun): Shoots wide horizontal plasma arcs that damage everything on their way.

Fuel Burn (Supply Gear): Hit an enemy within range and burn off part of its fuel.

Recon Mode (Cycle Gear): Gains a speed boost and reveals all enemies in range.

Another new Mech will join the roster during the Season, on July 29th, Mesa’s barrier-deploying abilities will shield itself and its allies, making it a dependable defender for tough fights. Buff allies and weaken enemies with this War Robot’s biotech drone to turn the tide of battle, and hit hard with its new Locust Weapon.

Loki and Mesa will be available in their respective battle passes: Scavenger’s Haul (available now) and Spark of Ingenuity (coming July 29th).

Changes to the Wild Ten, New Spearhead Mode, and Revamped Maps
The new content is not just limited to new weapons of war. A new mode, Spearhead, joins the already existing Warp Rush, Elimination, and Last Robot Standing. In Spearhead, players join the fray as two teams fight over randomly spawning Warp Probes to stabilize Warp in the region. Locate and capture them first to earn points, or eliminate all enemies to win in this electric new Game Mode.

The new mode can debut on freshly revamped maps that were added during Steam Early Access. Catalyst, Spectrum, and Fissure have all been updated to offer a more cohesive visual experience in line with Terminus, the map that was added when the game launched in March.

The final new addition in this content-loaded season is Sora Sing, your War Robot’s new Pilot. This femme fatale may not have won the trust of her fellow Pilots yet, but she’s eager to pull out all the stops in battle with her fast reload speed and boosted damage skills. Sora Sing will be available via the in-game shop.
