May 29, 2025 - The latest update for the roguelike deck builder Deathless. The Hero Quest includes Steam Deck verification, allowing brave heroes to visit the enchanted world of Belosvet wherever they go. Other improvements to UI and gameplay further the transformative 1.1 update of this aesthetically and mechanically satisfying Slavic folklore-inspired game, including a bolstered final boss, the best balancing yet, and Endless mode, among other additions and tweaks. Deathless. The Hero Quest launched into 1.0 last December and has revelled in a Very Positive (600+) reception on Steam.

The Hero Quest., the 1.1 update last month saw the game reach its most defined form to date in gameplay and aesthetics, and with a new title to reflect the transformative changes. Inspired by Eastern European folklore, radiating ethereal aesthetics, and stacked with familiar yet creative roguelike deck-building mechanics, this conclusive update refines the gameplay and upgrades the user experience to the vision developers had been dreaming of since the beginning. Formerly known as Deathless. Tales of Old Rus, this unique interpretation of Slavic folklore is set in the original fantasy world of Belosvet by writer and artist Roman Papsuev, musically accompanied by renowned composer Dmitri Silantyev (select Pathfinder, Warhammer games).
Deathless. The Hero Quest launched into Early Access less than a year ago, arriving in 1.0 on Steam in December 2024, receiving its first major update and an Epic Game Store appearance in April, followed by full Steam Deck verification in May 2025.
