New DLC For Legendary Flight Combat Sim IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles Enters Early Access

Dive into IL-2 Sturmovik: Odessa and Leningrad – Siege and Liberation right now and access one of the two new large maps and two new vehicles.

May 29th, 2025 — Today, 1C Game Studios proudly launches the new IL-2 Great Battles combat flight sim module, Odessa and Leningrad – Siege and Liberation, into Early Access via il2sturmovik.com. Those who take off into this new DLC will be able to take flight in the brand new Odessa map while using either of the new vehicles: The iconic early war biplane I-153 Chaika or the LaGG-3 series 4 fighter. Watch the trailer for this bombastic new DLC below!

The Odessa and Leningrad – Siege and Liberation module focuses on important battles from the beginning and end of the war, namely the sieges of Odessa and Leningrad and their subsequent liberation. Unlike the other modules, Siege and Liberation will contain two large maps: Odessa and Leningrad. Additional content will release throughout Early Access across the coming months.

As a 'thank you' to early adopters of the new module, the discount during the Early Access will be dynamic — the sooner you buy it, the lower the price is. As new content is added, it will get closer to its full launch price.

Eight aircraft with detailed cockpits: the I-153 "Chaika" and the LaGG-3 series 4 are currently available. The rest (the Yak-1 series 23, the Yak-3 series 9, the Bf 109 E-4, the Ju 87 D-5 "Stuka," the La-7, and the Il-2 mod. 1944) will be added later.
The Odessa map (parts of the Ukrainian and Moldavian SSRs, as well as Romania) is already available.
The Leningrad map (parts of Finland and the Leningrad Oblast) will be added closer to the official release date.
