Solo Dev’s Ambitious Platformer Rogue Climber Drops Demo and New Trailer on Steam
May 2, 2025 – Imaginary Game Studios is excited to announce the release of a new trailer and a playable demo for their upcoming first-person platformer, Rogue Climber. This adrenaline-pumping roguelike challenges players to master advanced movement mechanics and strategic upgrades as they ascend a perilous tower filled with traps and enemies.
The demo is now available on Steam, offering players a hands-on experience with the game’s core loop: fast-paced parkour-style movement, tactical item management, and uniquely generated climbs. Each run features unpredictable obstacles and enemies, encouraging experimentation with builds, equipment, and high-skill maneuvers.
What makes Rogue Climber stand out isn’t just its gameplay, but the team behind it. Developed by a micro-studio led by solo developer Christian Tuttle, Rogue Climber is a passion project built from the ground up with community feedback in mind. Drawing inspiration from platformers, roguelikes, and personal stories of persistence, the game reflects the developer’s vision for creative challenge-based progression.
“This project began as a late-night experiment in making movement feel truly satisfying,” said Christian Tuttle, founder of Imaginary Game Studios. “For me, great movement is the heart of a great game.
