Los Angeles, California - April 17, 2025 - Publisher and developer Rocket Panda Games today launched Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PBBGU) on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The beloved 2D side-scrolling action game originally launched on Xbox 360 makes its comeback with significant enhancements, including enhanced graphics, improved frame rates, higher resolutions, and new characters, with the inclusion of enemies as playable characters in Arcade Mode, as well as a full soundtrack remaster.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate also offers a plethora of multiplayer modes, both online and local, specially designed for beat’em up fans. Up to 4 players can enjoy couch coop sessions, or connect with 6 friends online with cross-platform multiplayer. Online VS mode is also available for up to 8 players for those who prefer to unleash their inner chaotic competitiveness.

PBBGU will also be sold in Standard and Ultimate (Only available in the US) physical editions are also available across selected retailers worldwide.

The Phantom Breaker series started out as a 2D fighting game in 2011, developed by 5pb / MAGES, and the beat-'em-up spin-off “Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds” was published in 2013 by 5pb / MAGES.
