Munich, Germany, 1. April 2025 - VR-Dynamix is adding a new DLC to its virtual time travel platform TimeLab on Steam: Starting today, players can experience an immersive transatlantic journey of the famous zeppelin LZ 129 “Hindenburg”, visit the airship's interior recreated in VR, marvel at the skyline of New York City in 1936 and then experience the Lakehurst disaster up close.

TimeLab is a platform for virtual time travel where players can visit thoroughly researched historical events and locations, such as the Apollo 11 moon landing or Falkenstein, King Ludwig II's dream castle. From today, the latest DLC LZ 129 Hindenburg takes time travelers on board the legendary airship during its Atlantic crossing in 1936, allowing them to visit the interior of the zeppelin, including the luxurious passenger decks and pilot's gondola. They will find information points located throughout the tour that provide detailed facts about the ship and explain the technology. A detailed prologue animation provides background information on the construction, operation and transatlantic routes for which the airship was used.
The airship and the scenery can also be viewed from the outside - when the “Hindenburg” flies over the Atlantic on its approach to the mainland or glides majestically over the skyscrapers of New York City in 1936. Players will also witness how the Zeppelin suddenly bursts into flames on May 6, 1937 during a scheduled flight from Frankfurt, Germany while landing over Lakehurst, USA. The catastrophe is accompanied by the original voice of radio journalist Herbert Morrison, who followed the events on site and whose emotional report is now regarded as the beginning of modern disaster journalism.
Players can also steer their own airship between the skyscrapers, avoid dangers and collect points in the mini-game “Skywave”, also included in the DLC.
TimeLab currently includes three historical modules: the two free DLCs Falkenstein and Apollo 11, and from today LZ 129 Hindenburg at a price of €9.90. The VR-Dynamix team is working on further content for TimeLab, which will be announced gradually. Press material on TimeLab can be found here.
