Last Call for Schools to Apply to Win an Esports Lab Courtesy of High School Esports League and the Army National Guard

Post by ccgr »

There's still time for schools to apply to be one of twenty-five schools to receive a fully-featured esports lab for free, courtesy of global esports organization Generation Esports' (GenE) High School Esports League (HSEL), in partnership with the Army National Guard, Asus, and Intel.

In an effort to ensure that as many schools as possible have access to this fantastic opportunity, HSEL has extended the submission deadline for schools to apply until January 26, 2021.

On February 15, 2021, HSEL will announce the schools selected from applicants nationwide to receive a state-of-the-art esports lab, which will include six high-spec gaming systems featuring 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics cards, plus mechanical keyboards, wireless headsets, and gaming mice provided by ASUS. Leadership from GenE/HSEL as well as partner representatives will work with students to teach them how to build and maintain the six-station esports labs when setup begins in Spring 2021. Partner representatives will also be on hand to provide expert advice for STEM related career choices and college programs.

Schools that wish to take part in the program for a chance to win an esports lab for their campus will need to submit an application, as well as provide descriptions and photos of the space where they would like the lab to be built. No private information about selected / participating schools, or their students, will be shared between Generation Esports and its partners without explicit consent via an optional opt-in field when applying for the esports lab program.

More information on how schools can apply to take part in this program can be found here -
