Destiny: Rise of Iron just released on Tuesday the 20th.
RoI (Rise of Iron) is the 3rd year of Destiny being the 4th expansion total.
The expansion add many weapons while bringing back great old weapons from year 1.
The expansion is also adding many new sets of armor, while bringing back sets from year 1.
All class armor is coming back from all previous years and shaders now affect class armor (about time).

5 new story missions have been added to the game along with 1 new strike and a new raid that releases in a few hours from this post.
A few other strikes have be re-made with new enemies.
A new enemy was added, Fallen Splicers.
There is a new patrol area called the plaguelands.
The plaguelands have a new arena called Archon's Forge.

A brand new social space has been added called Felwinter's Peak.
A new crucible game-type has been added called Supremacy (Kill Confirmed)

And of course new exotic weapons and armor were added as well.

I can't wait to start playing this expansion, it is definitely steering Destiny in the right direction for the second game next year.
Will anybody else be playing this?

I won't be, got a ton of other games that need to get reviewed first...

I will be playing the game. I still don't have any of the other DLC's. Do you think that will make a big difference when I play the new DLC?

Not really, just as long as you know the stories of the last ones you're good. It's not needed to know the stories, but it helps a lot.
