On the topic of the Jewish religion

I always find this such a hard topic for me personally. I have Jewish friends and family members. I understand that our only way to heaven is through Jesus because without his payment for our sins we would never be let in. So then are people who only believe in God not saved? They believe in God but without Jesus they can't be saved right? I would love comments of bible verses maybe talking about this or any help would be great.
