I started a hardcore world the day 1.8 came out, I didnt played it again until now. Then I discovered that every item was gone. All armour i weared, everyhing in the chest and Inventory and even the furnace though it still burned. Out on the ground the Blocks I didnt picked up last time was there.
None of the other single player worlds had the same issue.

Did you happen to enter your hardcore world in 1.7?
I hear bad things happen when entering worlds made/updated to 1.8 on a lower version.

Yes, that was just what I did :9 It didnt help to og back to 1.8 either, lost was lost.

Btw started a New ordinary world in 1.8, and a creative world, both lag really bad.

Im still lagging in singleplayer, buts no difference between 1.8 or 1.7.10 launcher.. is the lag caused by my internet connection? I have a heavy haulage road train'ish gaming computer who haul the heaviest games, so it cant be that.
But I have a very low internett capacity, I live in a white spot on the map according to web.

But why does it lag in singleplayer?

edit: oo-kaayyy... the /give- command dont work in 1.8

edit 2: ok it does, but the ID numbers dont any more

There is a known issues about items going missing. I lost mine in my single player world not only the itmes on me but also in all my chests in the world. Also 1.8 also causes a fps lag for a lot of people.

Weird. I have never had any problems with minecraft... Yet...

Yes Hardcord is very hard I would enter with almost nothing....maybe food and a sword....maybe a ender chest.
