At sunset on a secluded part of a lovely shore along Lake Michigan, where the dunes roll along the shore as far as the eyes can see :O

Bought a ring and stone worth ~3 grand at the right time and right place for about 40-50% off. Now to do the gentlemanly consulting of the father

The father gives approval. Her mom has already referred to me as "her future son-in-law" so I'm not expecting much disagreement from her

(her parents are divorced so I'm declaring intentions to them both separately)

Haha he did.
I bought the ring regardless because that's the direction she and I are heading. I really wanted her parents' approval--and I have it--but ultimately the decision comes down to I her and I. It just meant a lot to us to have their approval and support
