How important would you say the breaking of bread is?

Just as the title says, how important do you think it is that we break bread?

In my opinion, I find it very important. In the Bible Jesus says that every time we break the bread and partake of the cup we proclaim His death and resurrection. Therefore, isn't it very important? Ought we not to proclaim our Lord's death and resurrection every Sunday? Not to mention every day?

Now I understand that some people do it differently in their churches. For example a mega-church might do it once a month, that is understandable, there are a lot of people there, I would take up a lot of time to pass around the bread and wine to everyone.

But still, I find more and more that churches are shirking this duty and not doing it at all.

So, how important is it to you?

Thanks! :D

As a Catholic we had communion weekly but at my current church we do it monthly. To me it doesn't matter how often as long as it is done regularly and with your heart in the proper place.

We use cheap blackberry wine that assails the body as you drink it. Fun stuff! :D
