I've only played Batltetoads and Oregon Trail (never beat them..)

I've played nethack and can get a few of those on the Virtual Console thing on 3DS. I have never beat nethack.

Oregon Trail difficult...? Maybe it's just because my wife is a real stickler for that game, but along as you plan appropriately and know your history, it's not that hard to beat it. But it's more amusing to find ways to kill everyone, especially if you're going for a specific death (her words, not mine. )

I've actually played five of those, and I'm downloading Nethack in a moment. XD

That said...I never really though Megaman 9 was that hard. Hard, yeah. But...THAT hard? No.

Ninja Gaiden though...love that game but it's like instant rage quit sometimes.

I'm sure I could find 10 game harder than Oregon Trail. Especially on the NES. Mega Man 1 comes to mind if you try to beat the Yellow Devil boss without the pause trick.

Ah yes, F-Zero GX had one tough story mode.
Though yeah, I doubt all the games listed are the "10 hardest video games of all time."

Haha, I haven't played it myself.
Though I have heard some funny stories,
like having someone named Aquaman who just so happens to drown.

I'm having trouble with Final Fantasy 3 because I haven't played it in a while. I have forgotten what I'm supposed to do.

No, I think he meant that they think the first Zelda is Ocarina of Time.


But let's be real, Majora's Mask at 100% completion was pretty dang ridiculous too.

Oh man. I remember getting EVERY SINGLE MASK with a buddy of mine and getting the ultimate mask at the end... it was so amazing. It was such a good game and stands out in my memory as a dark and satisfying experience in a way not a lot of games have given me.

Although I'm not sure I'd call Majora's Mask hard, so much as complicated. I'd actually call it tedious, but that carries negative overtones and I love that game. If you know what you're doing, it's mostly just a matter of right place right time. The hard part if knowing what you're doing. I've never grabbed all the masks, let alone the heart pieces...might have to do that now.
