It's a pretty clean game, and both versions are basically the same.
there are however some things I have noticed.
There are quite a few psychic pokemon trainers,
and as Redeemed pointed out there are also ghost and psychic pokemon as well.
I am not really sure what to make of the ghost and psychic pokemon's attacks, they aren't really magic-y,
as they are pretty much done the same way as a fire pokemon would preform a fire attack,
or a water pokemon using a water attack, and so on.
So it's pretty much a natural power to them... if that makes a difference...
The psychic trainers however appear to have... well psychic powers.
Judging from their artwork they can make a pokeball float in midair,
and from the dialog I have seen, they have spoken about being able to sense power/energy with their powers.
I think I recall one attempting to tell the future, but over something very predictable.
It was that he was going to challenge me to a pokemon battle.
I am not really sure how far those trainers go with the whole psychic thing,
as there is a lot of dialog in this game, and it's hard to remember it all.
I don't recall them going really far, but as I said before, it's hard to remember.
There is also some psychic counterpart trainers known as hex maniacs,
who in their artwork picture hold a pokeball with one hand and has the other over it as if it's a crystal ball.
Also seen in the artwork picture; trainer's eyes are in a swirl and also they have an eerie smile to go with it.
However, I don't recall ever reading anything hex/curse related in their dialog,
so they are basically like the psychic trainers, save the artwork picture you see every time you battle one.
Sooo yes, there is that.
Other than some trainers having some really short shorts,
I don't think there is much else.
