My Reviews. What do you think I should do?

Okay, so I still have a review that hasn't been completed yet because I have trouble with time management, commitment, etc. So I have been thinking about doing video reviews instead. But at the same time, regular videos are not that bad either.

So should I do video reviews, regular reviews, or both?

Please post and give me your opinions! I would appreciate it.

CCGR, what do you think?

I like reviews that have a video aspect to them but it certainly is not a requirement. If time is an issue do what you're more comfortable with.

Not to be a downer, but unless you plan on doing video reviews for portable systems, don't even bother. A LOT of people on YouTube care about quality, and unless I'm mistaken, you film by pointing the camera at your TV, right? I won't even look at footage recorded like that, unless it's for a handheld.

Few people record decent footage of handheld games, and if you can get that down, you're golden. Try reviewing games people may not have heard of, and though this won't save you time, write a full script. There should be no "um, so I don't know what else to say lol." Not only will it improve your writing skills, but it will also help you with your public speaking.

Thanks. I was thinking about doing a review for a game called Super Smash Flash 2. Heard of it?

And yes, I know I need a capture device. Saving up for one starting now.

Anymore suggestions?

My own personal preference is to read reviews, rather than watching video reviews. I can read things in relative quiet. As soon as I start watching something - especially if it has music that sounds like it comes from a video game - then my computer attracts noisy little children like flies, all wanting to watch whatever I'm watching or playing. And then I can't hear what's going on! So yes, a written review, with plenty of screenshots, tends to get more of my attention than a video review.
