Short Review : retro City Rampage : avoid

This game blurs the lines for teens on morality. A rule I heard someone say in the past is 'God's law gives freedom to society'. God's law in this saying refers to the ten commandments, I think, and not the 600+ precepts. See Exodus 20 for Ten Commandments Jesus forgives and redeems but this should not be an excuse to sin.

More On the Rating...
This game is rated T for teen and has: blood, crude humor, sexual content, use of alcohol, violence.

The graphics are pixel nes style, it has chiptunes music.

This game is like GTA3 I was hoping the content wouldn't be as bad with a T rating,.... I WAS WRONG

--I've gotten to level 2. You get awarded for committing your first crime. I thought being older I would put up with all of this telling myself maybe The Player will turn out to be a hero instead of a villian in the end... But your allowed to hurt police, etc.

SPECIFIC CONTENT

They have swearing but they use symbols to hide the words.
Later I found out they have a paperboy level where you distribute pornography, though it probably doesn't show anything I don't want to play/promote a game that supports/encourages this and I did not know this or I for sure wouldn't have bought it. Found this out later from other reviews I looked at.

IMHO this game should be given an M or AO rating. As I continued to play up to level 2 the head boss blew up buses with supposed computer people in them and encouraged me to commit more crimes after I helped with a bank robbery in the game.


Conclusion: Not Recommended!

Have...have you played a game that's rated Adults Only or Mature before? Let me rephrase that, have you played Dante's Inferno before?

EDIT: Duke Nukem Forever would also suffice.

Regardless of whether we agree or disagree with rico001's opinion on what qualifies as a M or AO-rated game, I think the important thing is to at least recognize that he was making an effort to warn fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
