I have a wild imagination when I play video games and tend to role-play while playing them, even though I hate role-playing in MMO's. I sometimes intentionally make the game harder for myself because I like the way a weaker weapon looks or plays in a certain situation, or I like the way a certain piece of gear looks on my character. If there is a character creator, I spent a lot of time making my character look as unique as possible. Maybe even creating a backstory in my head before playing the game.
Not sure if this is considered shameful, though. I'm sure tons of people do it too.

True, but I also find it more enjoyable when there are people in the same room. It's even better in Skyrim with the bucket trick. XD
