With the upcoming Professor Layton game,
I figured it might be a good idea to have a thread about the series.
So, here it is.
If you don't know what Professor Layton is we do have some reviews,
Professor Layton and the Curious Village (DS)
Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (DS)

I'm sure I'll get around to playing it eventually, but my "games I'm going to buy then play list" is around 15 pages long. Not really sure if that's a good or bad thing right now. XD

Ok, I think I will.
I should probably work on the third game's review again,
I am just not sure if I can do it justice. (I will try though.)

The Professor Layton games are my all time favorite DS games,
and is definitely one of my favorite series altogether.
(Not to mention the story in the third game is... beautiful.

)
I guess how much enjoyment someone would get would depend on if they like puzzles or not,
though the stories and characters were enough to get someone I know to play through all the Professor Layton games I have.
(And that person didn't even really like puzzles to much.)
I would recommend the games to anyone,
and first three games can be found quite cheap.
Sadly, the Professor Layton series is going to end with their last game that will be released this year.
(Which reminds me, I should really finish those reviews.)

If you like the Professor Layton series then give Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure a try.

I really liked the Professor Layton series, I've beaten all of the games and done all of the bonus stuff as well. I always missed playing it after I beat another game.

Yeah, although they are quite different game genres, I noticed the art style is similar.
Which did get me interested, besides I haven't really played to many rhythm games. (I got catching up to do.

)

Well done sir, well done.

Oh, to unlock the puzzle houses you need to:
1. Beat the game to unlock one. (Which you probably already know since you beat the games.)
2. Complete the minigames (The ones that are in the suitcase.) (Each minigame unlocks one house.)
3. Last but not least, when you solve all the puzzles in the story/the other bonus houses,
then the last bonus house will be unlocked.
