It's... it's been a while.

The last time I made a thread in this section, it was pretty dang somber. Thankfully this one isn't nearly on the same level, but I feel compelled to make it anyway because I find myself in a rather hard place.

I've liked this girl about a year now, and I'd feel moderately comfortable in saying that, to some degree, I loved her. It was a complicated situation, but I'll spare you guys the sob story and just say that she ended up with another guy and at least he's actually a good guy but OH THE STING OF LOVE IS GREAT INDEED.

I'm not really accustomed to this sort of thing and I hear it's pretty normal so I'm not experiencing a crazy downward spiral because of it. It's just... it's a super tough thing. But as Calvin's dad always said, I suppose it builds character!

...shut up, Calvin's dad.

Yeah, that's probably true. It's just hard to accept it after you feel like you've seen the Rainbow Fish. *__*

Ahh, yes. It's never an easy thing, but from what you've wrote here, I get the sense you'll be alright.

It's okay to turn the lights off, play some Sarah Mclachlan, cry a couple manly tears, and get some prayers from people who care about you and have've been through similar things.

Manly hugs are in order, my friend. Complete with furrowed brows and the obligatory grunt as we forcefully fist-pat each other's backs.

Praying for you.
