Gamer Pet-Peeves

Ok, everyone has these. Especially people who let others use their games or consoles. What are your pet-peeves when someone is using your console/games/controller?
Mine:
Putting a disc in the wrong case.
Using a console without asking.
Playing games without asking.
Leaving game discs outside of case.
Turning the console off EVERY TIME they change a game.
Going through bag of games/accessories without knowing whose it is and not asking.
Hitting the "Halt Countdown" button on Halo right before it finishes the countdown (repeatedly).
Playing games with dirty or greasy hands.
Ripping controller out of hand when it is "Their turn".
DELETING STUFF OFF THE HARD DRIVE (I HATE THIS!).
Saving over others/my saves.
Making gamer profiles without asking. (Seriously, who likes getting on there console and finding a gamer profile that was not on there last time they were on?)
Getting back on console after being told to get off and let it rest, after you leave the room.
Not letting others play your console after they have been playing for hours.
Ok these are my peeves. I know there are more but so far all but 3 of these were broken on Friday night/Saturday morning. All done by a kid I do not know. I almost had a meltdown.................

Sucking at games, but not willing to: do the tutorial, listen to me, read the manual
Taking the papers out of game boxes, and not putting them back.
Spamming anything, in any game.
CoD - really almost everything about this game.
People trying to be 1P
Sorry I stole a bunch of yours, but these are definitely my biggest pet-peeves. I love Call of Duty but I can't stand playing online most of the time, too much cheapness.

kids chewing on a controller or the wire for it.
kids scratching games that are no longer made and cost the same amount used as they were new. (Mariomix DDR)

- Someone leaving a disc lying around and you find it a few months later all scratched up and full of dust.
- Sharing your game with someone only to have it returned back with dried peanut butter on it.
- Games inside of a CD carrier (Why? just why?)
- Console not taken care of, all dusty and with stains.
- Madkatz controller.
- When someone skips a cut-scene and doesn't know what to do next and then tells you the game sucks.
- Game puzzle is very obvious and friend doesn't know how to solve it. (Gives me the urge to grab the controller and just do it for them but i don't want to ruin the fun)
- "You're being cheap" when you're doing good; "Haha, you suck" when you're doing bad.
- Call of Duty is the only game in existence apparently.

12y/o's who think they can swear. Really, if you're gonna do something, do it right....
Guys who play as female characters just so they can run around in their underwear.
FPS's full of people who refuse to understand the concept of a team.
People who spam random crap over their mics. (Zao shut them up fast enough....)
Personal grudges. IE, in a certain MAG match, one guy was literally only killing me. I have no idea why.

^^^This. This is why I like Battlefield 3 multiplayer. Way more team based than Call of Duty or Halo.

Actually I kinda like doing this, but only when we are waiting for someone.

--Gamers who call games 'realistic'. No. They're not. Unless you take a really broad view of the subject. As in 'bad things happen in life...bad things happen in games too! Spooky! Games are so realistic!"

--In addition to swearing twelve year-olds, I'd like to nominate 13--36 year-olds who act like they're twelve. There is no rational reason to scream the F word combined with all manner of other pejorative wording just because someone planted a grenade at your feet.
--Peeps who act like games are srs face. Commando language (not
that kind of language) like '10-4 commander' or 'tango down' is fun...but when you take it so seriously you forget that it's a game, the point is lost. Like when you scream at the TV because a NPC did something like get in your way for 3 seconds.
--Peeps who don't take games seriously at all. There's a fine line here, but I'm splitting it. It's supposed to be fun, but how much fun can I have when you're doing stupid stuff like blowing yourself/me up intentionally, or running around in circles shooting at nothing? Or the ever popular 'pay-attention-to-something-else-during-a-firefight'. XD

Clearly you didn't cut your teeth on cartridge based console platforms
Back then, it was a mortal sin to pull a cartridge from the device while it was running. It was so ingrained into my mind when I was a kid that even now it still freaks me out a little to eject the game disc from my XBox360 because it's running...

Ahh...good ole' NES-N64...I agree, I still can't help but turn off the console before pulling out the disc.

Not exactly a gamer pet peeve, but:
-Someone who sits on Facebook 24/7 says you have no life because you played a game 2-3 hours straight

This. When I got my 360, I was always paranoid to eject the disc when the console was turned on.

Sounds like you have less of a case of pet-peeves, more of a case you're letting a little butthole play your console.
My Pet Peeve?
Console Gamers.
Actually, the one thing that gets under my skin is the notion that some people get that gaming is a child activity and not for adults. Luckily, this has been diminishing as of late, but you occasionally here someone spout it off while trying to sound like they are the mature one. In my mind, it's always a 30 something woman with no special talents or abilities. She gets shot down by the other 30 something women who actually able to do things competently in life.

Ahh, brings back good memories with me and my genesis.
