Yeah, if I dev'd for this game, I wouldn't have coded them to take it off at the off chance that the player would place stuff on their heads.

There's a simple way to avoid it. Don't do it.
And when you walk back in, they're back to normal.

If you're going to steal, you're going to steal. Beats enchanting pants with chameleon.

Nope, no Chameleon. Plus, I'm a goody two-shoes in Elder Scrolls games anyway. haha

Whaaaaaaaaat?
No chameleon? That was the best freaking spell ever. O_o Once you had enough gold and skill to enchant five items with chameleon, you needed no more armor or potions.

Yes, but with Chameleon you could remain totally invisible while you attacked, pick pocketed, ETC.
Amazingly effective spell. Did they put levitation in this time?

I was more disappointed by the lack of levitation.
