Not a new game, but still pretty awesome.

My guild, The Grey Council, lives on the Butcherblock server and has members from both alignments in it. If any of you guys play EQ2 we'd love to hear from you.

Also, my son and I are preparing to start an EverQuest II podcast. We've been working on a format for the cast and plan to start it at about an hour in length, maybe twice a month.

It's very cool. Actually our guild is entirely composed of people we're friends with in real life. My wife is a member, and two of my other kids have been when they played EQ2 for a while. We've occasionally made exceptions and had members we met in game or online, but it's rare. It's a family friendly guild and we're pretty careful about it.

Never was able to get into an MMO.

Well. That's not true. We had a D&D guild awhile back. I played a lourd to the point of getting addicted. XD I just stopped playing it for some reason. I think I was getting near the end of the free quests and didna want to pay to keep playing. Plus Kenny and Spartan didna play much anymore.

Never got into Everquest is more like it. XD

We tried D&D Online for a while and it was pretty fun. The thing that we missed from EQ2 was the crafting stuff, and character housing... We're in it for the roleplay and with D&D your character really didn't do much between dungeon runs. (I think that may be different now though.)

Mayhaps. The free mode was pretty much solid dungeon run, but I don't know if they've changed that.

Free is the most important MMO word. >_>

What's that? Where you buy in-game content in bits and pieces?

If so, then yes.

Then the game is not free...it is free for like two days.

Perhaps several weeks to a normal gamer, or person...but for me, two days.

-_-

Yeah the downside is that the really cool classes and some races on that server are locked until you pay to unlock them, and from what I understand the same applies to some in-game content like zones but don't quote me on that.

My wife and I created characters on the free server as a way to be available to friends and acquaintances who were trying the game out, but we didn't buy any of the extra content or classes.
