Just rediscovered my lub 4 dis gaem.
My sis didn't realize we owned Asian Dynasties... now we play semi-regularly, sometimes with friends. Oh, LAN partays.
Anyway, does anyone else still play these? I'm not terribly great at it, buuuut I'm not bad either, and I'd love to play with some CCG peeps like we used to in ye olde days (spartanomega, I think? I don't remember who I played with XD)

I lost interest in AO when I got Rome total war and finally (the best) Medieval 2 total war. Thumbs up for base building and campaign though.
I haven't tried LANning though.

I'm in the Beta for AoE:O. It's pretty fun, has a neat RPG twist to it.

I saw TotalBiscuit review AOE:O. I might get into that.

AOE online looks awesome! I hope the "good content" isn't all premium. If it's free to play, that should not mean that only premium accounts get a rich gaming experience. I am currently playing LOTR free (without a subscription), and although I did buy some points, I have so far enjoyed a very rich experience. It will be interesting to see how they hybrid the RTS model with a MMO model. And I will certainly be planning to try this one out.

How does it make money? Microtransactions or unrestricted accounts for subscribers
