Which is taking it too far. Honor is important, but not everything.

For example, say a man was about to murder someone, I'm too far away, there is a building to his left and a street sign to his right. It's impossible for this angle to happen, but it turns out the only angle I have of him is most likely a kill shot. And his back is facing me. Am I supposed to hold to my honor but let the victim die?

Got to find a balance.

Hmm, no, because the honorable thing to do would be to kill or disable the attacker.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

No, he has nothing to fight for. Without honor, he will only stick by his sword to protect his life. And without honor, what is the point of completing the mission, save to see another paycheck? That makes a man a mercenary, loyal to no country and no man, no god except the dollar. Honor is everything.

Loyalty and honor are separate things.

Perhaps, but they are inextricably intertwined.

Not necessarily, but since this is the spam thread, I'll save you the lesson in military philosophy.

I'd welcome it.

And then I'd turn around and throw some thoughts and writings your way, because that's how I roll.

Not a problem at all. But I'll start a new thread for it later.
