I don't know about that. Honor is important in war, otherwise boundaries get crossed which shouldn't.

Honor's meaningless. My grandfather learned that after the Japanese slaughtered babies in the name of honor.

And you seem to style yourself a war historian.

The Japanese have a different culture than us, especially back then. I don't even read war history, and I know that. You cannot depend on other cultures to define your own sense of honor. For if you remove a man's honor, what does he have?
