I have, but the definition eludes me.fathom123 wrote:Have you heard of the term Grognard?
That would be AWESOME!ccgr wrote:sees a special rank in ArcticFox's future
Yep. They used to do it all the time. They also do them for Warhammer Fantasy, and I participated in the "Nemesis Crown" campaign. Even got my character Guy deLyonesse mentioned on the Games Workshop website by recommendation from the Battle Bunker.Chozon1 wrote:Have you ever heard of a worldwide 40K campaign?

Grognard is an old french term I think. Basically it was the word that described the seasoned old guards who would fight alongside the new recruits. That's what I can remember anyway. It's usually used to describe people who have been gaming forever.

Jeremiah 20:9-But if I say, "I will not mention him or speak any more in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

This would be an excellent title too...fathom123 wrote:Grognard is an old french term I think. Vokos... my 43rd level Mage. He started out as a 1st Edition AD&D character and was eventually converted to 2nd Edition. He's retired now, in the Forgotten Realms in his mountain hold, where he keeps a bracelet with a Permanent Phezult's Sleep of Ages on a table. Anyone who comes within a couple miles of his home immediately fall asleep. (Yes, that means there's a hilarious and yet terrifying ring of sleeping/dead people in a 4 mile diameter around the mountain. He's CN, so it's alright.)fathom123 wrote: What was the most memorable character you've ever played?
Haven't tried it yet but it looks insanely fun. I'm debating on what team I would play...Chozon1 wrote:Dreadball?

Forge Fathers, all the way. I love me some dwarves.
After I build up my Cygnarmy a bit more, I'm planning on getting the Dreadball set. I think it'd be easier to suck someone in with it's boardgame format (because when I'm asked what Warmachine is, I get glassy eyed stares and/or "poor sad nerd" headshakes from my family).
If I cough up a lung, is that enough excuse to sleep late?

I find I prefer a savory breakfast to a sweet one...if I eat pancakes for breakfast, I get grumpy all day.

Generally, no. And I hate that the newest incarnations of D&D have placed the Ranger as a Rogue and not as a Fighter where he once was.

I'm not even sure how that makes sense. I guess if you think of him as a wandering bow user as opposed to the LOTR presentation...

Always nice to have options, although I haven't found much need for it in my army.Chozon1 wrote: Your thoughts on Mercenary usage in Warmachine?
The first one was good. In my universe, it's the only one that exists.Emwok wrote:Pirates of the Caribbean?

I don't know if I need them per se, but I really want some dwarves. Because dwarves are awesome.
