You know... I don't think I have. Which is a dang shame, because I used to live pretty close to some really good ones (Lagunitas, Russian River, Bear Republic, etc)
Yeah, I only ate and drank at some.

Ever had anything by Brooklyn Brewery? I just had the Black Chocolate Stout, and... it's 10% ABV. I'm 5'7" and I had it on an empty stomach >_>

No, I haven't. Did you well, I assume?

Yup. It wasn't too shabby either. You know how Guiness has those chocolatey, coffee notes? This was like a Guiness with dark chocolate notes, not so much coffee, and... I don't know, a little more bitter/darker all around. Quite a chewy beer.

Interesting. Don't think I ever had a chewy beer before...

Chewy is my term for a beer that is heavy, dark, bitter, and sassy :P

Haha, so, exactly what a stout should be.
I think it's pretty cool that MI is getting into the stout scene big.

Gotta say, as a hop-man, I can enjoy a good chocolate coffee imperial stout.
I'm looking at you, Big Bad Baptist.

Favorite song from Blind Guardian's Nightfall in Middle Earth?

I think it's still Nightfall. That was a pretty epic track; great tribute to the source material.

ooh I missed the stout talk.

Soup, try some of North Coast's Old Rasputin. Probably my favorite Imperial stout, and it's also a good bit cheaper than some that aren't even close to as good. If you consider $9/4pk cheap. Or you can do what I just did and buy the barrel aged version but that's like $25/500ml. I really gotta stop going into liquor stores after I've been at the bar.

What do you think about text on beer bottle labels?

s'long as it's witty. I've always enjoyed Stone telling people if they like yellow fizzy drinks, their beer is not for them.

Preferably over a pint or five.

I love how Arrogant B****** Ale says "You are not worthy" on it's bottle. XD

Ever had a Shiner? Super light, not bitter, but it's got reasonable flavor. Cheap too.

Yeah Stone has the best advertising in the busines.

EDIT: Speaking of which, idk if you follow them on Facebook, but they joked about releasing an IPA called Sosumi because of the Lagunitas/Sierra Nevada fustercluck

Tried any of Dogfish Head's ancient ales? I just built a six pack at the store tonight and I threw in their Midas Touch. Barley, honey, muscat grapes, and saffron. This interests me.

Thought I replied to this.

Haven't had any of Dogfish Head's ancient ales, but I'm curious. I don't see much of them here on the west coast, but I've really liked their 60 and 90 minute ipas.
