I've always wanted to learn how to play drums, it definitely seems like drummers have the most fun with their instrument of choice. However, I don't got no rhythm - I can play a basic beat, and that's about it.

It's one of the very few things about college that aren't totally bad. A local church gives out free lunch on Wednesdays. No complaints. Sort of brightens up a painfully gasping week.
Now that I'm 6 weeks in, can I officially say I hate college and that it's not just 'getting used to it'?

You can officially say it, but that won't mean it isn't possible to learn something or grow from your time there. It's possible to have a bad semester, or even a bad year, but there are always new things to learn and new relationships to form. It's tough man, I understand. I wouldn't say that college is right for everyone, but I do feel like too many people drop out too early.

I hate the experience, but I'm trying not to be that whiny emo kid that hates-that-he's-here-and-let's-you-know-by-sighing-and-not-doing-any-of-the-work. And frankly, it's been a good year, college wise. I hate it for a lot reasons, but I'm still going to give it a good effort.
It has also lead to me knowing that I enjoy working on computers, working with my hands and that I dislike college. And also, that I'm not really a people person, but I can smile and take an interest in them and be OK.
Plus, free food on Wednesdays.

Coke. It's what I grew up on. The drink of champions.
That said, I don't really drink either. If I drink soda it's either Dr. Pepper or root beer but I don't do that that often.
