Hmmm. How ironic - I love lightning. Once, this monster storm blew in about three-and-a-half years ago, and knocked out half the power to a nearby town that we were driving through. When I was around 12 we went camping and got caught in a really bad thunderstorm. My mom, aunt and us kids were all under a space blanket while my dad and uncle were trying to cover our stoves and wood and stuff so we could have a fire later. Lightning hit a tree not far from where we were standing, not only was the noise the loudest thing I have ever heard but it charged the air and we could feel it. If it's any consolation, my irrational fear is sharks. I used to know everything about them as a kid. Then I discovered horror-movies centered around them, and my knowledge used itself for evil rather than good. Ta-da!
