The party continues on the trail. Suddenly they are halted at the sight of a small wood cart flipped over, it's contents are spilled into the trail. As you approach, you notice a disturbing scene. The bodies of small humanoids lay torn apart. In the middle of the disgusting display is a human, no something more. Some kind of creature, creature knelt over. The sound of flesh tearing coming form it. It seems preoccupied with its meal.
((Make a listen check DC 13. If you pass read this.))

Almost overwhelmed by the horror at what he is seeing, Guy barely retains control of his rage as he draws his weapon and shield. "CrimsonRose!" He points his weapon to the left. "To our left! Look sharp!" His next sound is a roar as the battle fury descends over him and he charges the beast in front of him, his last calm thought is I hope Kratimos is with me...

((
Ok, this round is a surprise round for the creature meaning everyone gets an attack. Normally, we would be rolling for initiative to see who goes first. When everyone makes their move, with the exception of TS who is in a separate encounter, then the creature will have the chance to respond and we roll initiative.))

Not entirely sure what to do, Minather puts his spell book away and remains as quiet as possible. He slowly takes out his quarterstaff.

CrimsonBlade quickly examines the gruesome scene and asks the man Who are you and what is your purpose here? She is still clenching her dagger ready to strike if his answer does not satisfy her.

Brokan wrenches his spear from the dead thing's corpse and sheaths it across his back. His body continues to quiver with rage. He remembered hearing a commotion from the woods and he may need this anger yet. He turned around and a woman with a dagger was asking his identity. He tried to form words through the spitting rage that was fueling him.
"I AM BROKAN AND MY PURPOSE IS . . . PURPOSE . . . DESTROY. YOUR DAGGER WILL NOT . . . DESTROY. NEED SWORD. REMOVE HEAD. GAHHHHHH!"
Brokan runs madly into the woods towards the noises he heard earlier, screaming.
Edit: I don't think its overreaching to assume that's crimson talking to me based on the fact that the noise I heard was obviously ArcticFox and he signaled to Crimson to go after something in the woods that was more likely than not me. If I'm getting this wrong we can back up.
Edit2: Yeah . . . I just now peaked at CCGR's spoiler to confirm what I assumed. I'll resist the temptation from now on I promise.
