Did you know, that in McNuggets contain the same chemicals found in lighter fluid?

What do you think of the Total War games?
I played a little bit of Medieval, and it didn't catch on so much with me then. I have Empire right now, and I like it a lot. I get pretty proud of my forces for battling impossible odds under what I can only surmise is brilliant tactical leadership.

*shrug* Not so surprising to me, considering that not only are chemicals in everything we eat, by they quite literally make up every substance there is. I need to have more specific claims.
Do they have butane in McNuggets? I would find that a little odd. So, I looked it up.

McNuggets don't necessarily contain, but are sprayed with (and inside of the box) TBHQ. TBHQ, tertiary butylhydroquinone, is organic compound in the phenol group. It's highly antioxidant and allowed by the FDA to use sparingly in food as a preservative. It is toxic in larger quantities, which, probably is exactly why it's a preservative in the first place.
I saw claims that isn't a type of butane, but butane is a specific carbon molecular structure, a 4 carbon chain wrapped in hydrogen, whle TBHQ, being a phenol, is a carbon ring with 2 hydroxyl groups and a 3 prong carbon tail (this is where my chemistry knowledge fails me; it actually failed me way before, which is why I was looking up everything. If it was up to par, I could tell you the structure just by reading the name of the chemical. Chemistry is impressive like that).
Is it a dangerous compound? Yes. Is it dangerous in McNuggets? I don't think so; the FDA and the EFSA don't seem to think so.

EDIT: I realize you never specifically mentioned Butane, but I assumed that's what you meant since butane is the chemical in lighter fluid and as it turns out, a lot of people are saying TBHQ is a butane.
Well, that's 3 prong carbon tail I mentioned earlier, turns out, that's a tertiary Butyl group and is derived from an isomer of butane. So, in a way, yes, it has butane in it (not the normal isomer, though), but it's not quite the same thing. Technically, water has hydrogen in it, but it's not going to light up like the Hindenburg.

I have a hard time trying to eat them though just knowing that they have toxins like that in em.

Toxins are in life. They are sometimes developed naturally, and sometimes not. These toxins are there in minimal quantities to prevent fungus or other life from jumping in and developing their own toxins, which are in amounts much more harmful to us.

By no means are you required to eat McNuggets. They are not that good (sorry Chozon), and the fat content is frankly far more harmful to people than the TBHQ.

Not to mention the swill you're downing with every "healthy" glass of water and breathing in with every cancer-inducing breath. If my food is going to kill me, I'm going death by chicken. That said, as a chicken expert, both eating and cooking, I can certify that McNuggets are gloriously delicious. As long as you don't get a cartilaginous one. That's bad nasty.

Bacon roses?

They're actually pretty, and if made correctly, resemble roses from a short distance. I want to make some, but have no significant other to gift them to...Trying to decide if that matters.

Homemade bacon?

Do you need them to yourself. Treat yourself out next time, get yourself some nice bacon roses. You'll appreciate it.

Homemade? Like, sliced or killed at home? I never had the pleasure. How is it?

Do you think everything would be better with bacon?

The only thing that comes to mind is this rancid bacon soda I tried.

Most food I had tasted better coming up than that did going down.

I had a bacon cupcake, which was incredible. Where I used to live, they had a cupcakery called Sift(won Cupcake wars on the Food network) that put out some incredible desserts. Any man would brave the overwhelming pinkiness of the place, it was so good.
But, they had something called a Stud Muffin which was a beer cupcake topped with bacon. Oh man. Redonk.

No. That's just not in the stars for me.
I did a tiny bit of ballroom and I'd be willing to learn more, but that's a bit different.
