Ahh, bummer. I recently bought Morrowind on steam to play it through either using the Skywind mod (Morrowind content with Skyrim engine) or an upgraded graphics mod for Morrowind. I only played a little on the Xbox.

Think that Baldurs Gate mod that allowed you to play Baldurs Gate 1 using Baldurs Gate 2's engine.

It's in alpha, but it caught my attention.
You'd need to own both Skyrim and Morrowind to get it set up.

They're doing God's work, Arch.

It's not a bad engine and I prefer it.

That is about as awesome as the Tamriel Rebuilt project. Wouldn't it be incredible if both lands were available in the same game?

I think I need to get Skyrim now.

And honestly, if you play only on the consoles... or don't play without mods... you really don't know what you're missing. Mods can take an already impressive game and transform it into something custom-tailored for your gaming preferences and truly mind-blowing.

I play on consoles to avoid all the fuss that comes with the PC and I prefer playing the original content that hasn't been modified by players who THINK that they know what I like. "Oh, let's make it darker to make it more realistic!" no thanks. Besides, Bethesda already relies too much on the players to fix their problems for them. I don't really want to enable them more then I have too, and before you go telling me that I am wrong. Werewolf's night vision is considered an OPTION, it isn't tied directly into the game, left for the PLAYERS to mod. This is only one example.

Considering that the story itself relied so heavily on levitation, I am wondering the same. Atleast harebrained schemes found a way to bring the best mods over to the portable versions of shadowrun returns, it is blatantly clear that bethesda (once again) doesn't care about the console playerbase, but understands that they still need them to buy their terribles games.

If you don't want to play with mods, that's fine. But to me (and I'm sure other players will agree) it's a bit like cooking without any seasonings. Sure it can be done... but some of us prefer a much more fulfilling experience.

Also...
I prefer playing the original content that hasn't been modified by players who THINK that they know what I like. "Oh, let's make it darker to make it more realistic!" no thanks.
If you think the only mods out there are supposed to make the game more gritty or realistic, you really haven't done too much research into modding, have you? Sure, some mods do this, and some mods are outright cheats (e.g. a barrel full of glass armor right next to the starting location) but there is an abundance of mods out there that add more depth and color to the game world, too. Some of my favorite Morrowind mods include things like Better Bodies and Better Heads (reduces the jagginess and makes the characters just look... well, better), Sounds of Vvardenfell (adds singing birds and buzzing insects to different regions), and one mod whose name escapes me right now that makes the robes on female characters look like a female is wearing it, rather than a bulky, stocky appearance. There are quite a few minor quest mods as well that help to add flavor to the game world, too, as well as complete overhauls of the game to tell different stories based on the game engine that Morrowind uses. Plus, there's the aforementioned, ambitious Tamriel Rebuilt project, which was an attempt to recreate all of Morrowind, instead of just the island of Vvardenfell where the game takes place.

And that's just what I've found and experienced for Morrowind. Once I get Skyrim, I can't wait to see what tweaks I can find for it. :)

Do we REALLY want to go back to Morrowind's archery system?

It's a skyrim mod. It plays like Skyrim, but you are going through Morrowind content.
