They could, but for some reason, they don't. Instead, they just stare for a bit, then attempt to engage the dinosaur in some sort of deep, meaningful philosophical debate.

Mostly consisting of the word "Braaaaiiiinnnnsss...."

They're distracted enough to get rid of them with a shotgun or a pickaxe, though.

Yeesh, that's a tough one. Shigeru Miyamoto is the first one to come to mind, but Richard Garriott also is a pretty influential one. Todd Howard comes to mind as well, but that's likely because the previous question was about Skyrim. If we're including all games and not just video games, then Richard Garfield, Steve Jackson and Gary Gygax should be considered as well. I don't think I could narrow it down to just one name.

Yeah. He's the face behind Portal, Half-Life, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, and Steam (well, not the only face, but by far the largest one, and his face is certainly the face of PC gaming).

What genre are we we talking about? Fiction or nonfiction? Can we count tabletop gaming manuals? So many choices!!!!

One book that I particularly enjoyed - meaning read more than once - was 1984. Definitely one of the better books I've read. But there are so many good books out there, such as To Kill a Mockingbird, Shane, A Fine and Pleasant Misery, The Hound of the Baskervilles... and that's just scratching the surface of fiction.

I have not yet, but I've been meaning to. It's on my "need to read" list, next to "Catcher in the Rye" and "The Three Musketeers."

But related to the topic, just this morning a bunch of other books jumped into my head as notable and worth reading. Horror? And not the garbage horror like Stephen King's dreck.... Try Michael Crichton's "Prey." Humorous fantasy? Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather." Political commentary? Glenn Beck's "Arguing with Idiots." Graphic novels? Jeff Smith's "Bone." So many good selections, not enough time!
