So I'm thinking of trying my hand at videos about video games, so I'm trying to decide what style to go for.
I've tried my hand at playthroughs with on-the-fly commentary, but I find that I am not so good at improv commentary.
I've thought about doing commentary after the fact, but I don't know how well that would work out (Because there would be a ton of filler).
The other options I've considered are humorous reviews of bad games (such as an MST3K-esque roast of the bad parts of games with some good old fashioned ranting for frustrating parts. Think Angry Joe or Spoony), or potentially doing more serious reviews of old games from a modern perspective. That said, I don't know that I would be any good at that. XD
I dunno if you have any thoughts on that, but I though I'd just throw this out there because I'm not sure what I should try first.
Some rock-ish music for Monday:
Thoughts?
I think it's a good idea, personally. I've actually been tempted to give that a shot myself, since my PS4 can capture video (my lappy cries at the thought. XD). When I think of doing it, it's always commentary after the fact. Not only can you plan for what happens (like the random death caused be a glitch, or something), I'm always more comfortable if I can plan out what I'm going to say.
Also, though professionals will certainly say otherwise, from a personal standpoint I wouldn't be afraid of dead air. Especially in video game playthroughs. I rarely notice dead air when I am watching a video about a game, since...well, there's a game. I'm watching it, and listening secondarily. But I
do notice when people get anxious about saying nothing, so they jabber on. XD I didn't click on your video to listen to your views on the Russian sense of humor, and the fact you think a perfectly clean word is dirty...well, actually that's pretty humorous to me. But for the wrong reasons. It's OK to be quiet for like thirty seconds.
So...I don't know, actually. Definitely do it...I would try the one that sounds best to you. Or do all of the above, according to what you feel like. Some days I want to talk about how amazing a game is; some days, I want to point out the failures of the developer. Some days, I want to rant. Here's looking at you, Advent Rising.
The song was sort of meh. Sounded like 90's pop rock...

Sounds like a great memory...two years from now.
In the present time, it sounds wet, uncomfortable, temper flaring and rash inducing, depending on your climate and dress. XD

Sidearms are the only secondary that get to keep ammo after you die. That's pretty dumb if you ask me, I don't think any of them should keep ammo.
Hand cannons and auto rifles can still outgun a sidearm even at the closest range if you play your cards right.
Don't stop using hand cannons, they got buffed. So did auto rifles.
I got my golden Hanzo bow. Now I have 3 heroes that need them, should I get golden weapons for Junkrat, Roadhog, Reaper, or Widowmaker?
(If you don't know who any of them are just pick Reaper)
Kind of makes sense though, for fluff reasons. Sidearms are sort of the tiny pistol you shove in your sock for emergencies, so that being the case...I don't know. I don't see why they would not take the ammo away, if they're going to take it away at all. I noticed the fact you lose your ammo upon dying the other day, and got miffed. Thankfully, I rarely use anything but my primary. Could switch back to Invective, I 'spose.
Actually, if I get into a situation where I
need to switch to a secondary weapon, I'm probably about to die anyway. XD I'm not that skilled. The exception is shotguns in my bubble...but even then, melee is perhaps a better option still. The deuce if I run out of ammo at an inopportune time. Either way, I can't think that I would switch to sidearms, and I would actually feel
safer if other people did, since sidearms are nickle-plated sissy pistols that only sting if you get a head shot. >_>
Auto rifles though...pique mah interests. I just got the Khvostov 7G last night, and I'm willing to switch away from hand cannons for nostalgia purposes. I liked that rifle.
Also, I feel like I have doomed myself to be killed only and constantly by sidearms for the next two days. -_- I'm going to encounter the guy that's basically Hawkeye with sidearms. I feel it in my bones.
Hmm...Reaper then. Sadly, my Overwatch character knowledge is lacking. I probably need to get that game, and PS plus along with it.
