Finished Gathering Blue, and it was pretty good. Now on to the rest of How We Are Hungry.

Just finished The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. Fantastic book.

I'm now reading Messy Spirituality, which is also really good.

Finished The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning not that long ago. I would highly recommend you go pick it up. It may just revolutionize the way you think about your relationship with God.

Well, just went to the library today, got a few books:

Empire Falls, David Russo. No, it's not as epic as it sounds, as it's actually about a small town in Maine. I'm several chapters in and mildly enjoying it, but there are things I don't like about it already. Such as the length. Nearly 500 pages for a character driven novel? Bah. I shall prevail.

Children of Hurin, J.R.R. Tolkien. I hope I can get through this, as I don't know too much Middle-earth mythology beyond Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, but it does promise to be an interesting read.

Every Secret Thing, Laura Lippman. Dunno, seemed intriguing enough.

Speak, Laurie Halse Anderson. Yeah, I've read it twice already, but I wanted to read it again, it's very much a favorite. One of the other things about Empire Falls that I disliked was that it's depiction of high school seems so empty and cliche compared to the dark and more importantly, real world of Speak.

Not really, it ended with the hero finally freed, what's sad about that?

If I can find a copy at the library, I intend on picking up Dune.
