Voice chat is over rated though. I don't need to hear my team lamenting about how bad the other team is when, in reality, they're kicking our butts. XD I also don't need people to hear me screaming in pseudo Russian about the MIDA multi-tool. >_>
lol, I feel you there. I generally prefer to do voice communication with friends over a separate service anyway (Discord is my favored example), I just think Nintendo's solution is needlessly obtuse compared with what Sony and Microsoft have.
Not entirely sure. I don't really have my eye on any big ticket items this year. I mean, I'd like a Switch, but my Wii U can tide me over for a while yet. Further, I don't think the Switch has hit the critical mass of games I must have that are exclusive yet, so I can afford to bide my time. It's not like the games I want are going to become super rare or anything, lol.
I usually go after movies and games that are for the cheaps. Or at least put them on my Christmas list. Things which can be found Friday afternoon, and not on the Thursday rush. I don't shop on Thursday out of principle, having been one of the poor scrubs forced to work on Thanksgiving afternoon.
When you have money, but don't have access to your bank account? XD
That's one of the weirder things about the world. One would think the banking system would make it easy to move money around, but no, it's stupidly complex. I don't get it. XD
No comment. That's a rant longer than I have the energy for right now. XD
The faction rally in D2 has replaced the old Faction system. Essentially, you choose a faction (Dead Orbit, Future War cult, or New Monarchy) at the beginning of the week and all of your activities (Strikes, Lost Sectors, Crucible, plus a new Milestone) that week earn tokens for your chosen faction. You trade these in for armor, weapons, shaders, ETC. Whichever faction earns the most tokens by the end of the week unlocks a special gun which they can purchase for 1K glimmer. Everyone who did not choose that faction can buy it for 50K glimmer.
It's live now, I think. I haven't actually played D2 in awhile since I've been busy and also discovered Tamriel Rebuilt.
New Monarchy has the best armor and shaders. It's a Red/Gold combo that makes my Titan look like Iron man. :O It's glorious.
Tamriel Rebuilt is a mod, but it's...enormous. The community is dedicated to completing the province of Morrowind, outside the island of Vvardenfell. The map stuff they have so far is--I think--as big as Morrowind (encompasses the entire east side and down to the south, in fact), and seems pretty full of towns and people and quests and such. Haven't wandered the wilds a lot to see if there's dungeons, but I'm impressed so far.
Depends on how well out of date we are talking. A few days? Probably fine. Weeks? I'd probably want to cut a few open to make sure they haven't started to have mold on the inside.
