So are there any rails shooters on Wii that you would recommend? I've heard good things about Sin and Punishment: Star Successor, as well as House of the Dead Overkill, but I don't know if you know of any other good ones.

Not to raise ire, but if mouse+keyboard is the best...why would people feel the need to supplement it?micah211 wrote:Yes it is, if people add aimbot to certain games they get a fine and permabanned.
And yes I work at CFA, I get all the free chicken and cookies... Makes me happy when I work, like today.
Sweet or Spicy?
Analog controls sticks for the gold. >_>
Depends on what I'm eating, I guess. In relation to chicken, I usually go spicy. The exception to this is, coincidentally, CFA, since I rarely eat there and want to taste the normal chikin.
I don't think I would ever be happy in a normal job...but free chicken and cookies would stand up to challenge that. XD
House of the Dead I haven't played...but Star Successor I have. I didn't like the overall atmosphere of the story, but the game itself was pretty solid. I never managed to beat the final boss, actually...I should go do that.Deepfreeze32 wrote:So are there any rails shooters on Wii that you would recommend? I also heard good-ish things about Umbrella Chronicles. That's a game on my list of mid-tier wants, but I never managed to get it.
Also, if utter lack of story doesn't bother you, Link's Crossbow training. It has no business being as entertaining as it is, since it was basically a pack in for the failed Zapper, and it's definitely an on-rails/arcade shooter. Plus, it's like...$5 at Gamestop. I've actually had a group of people entertained by that game.

I never wanted to work in a restaurant, let alone fast food, but CFA was my one exception. It's actually a really good place to work, everybody is so nice (except for this one person I despise) and you get free stuff XD.Chozon1 wrote:I don't think I would ever be happy in a normal job...but free chicken and cookies would stand up to challenge that. I've never understood why you would open all of the presents on Christmas Eve. What is the point of Christmas morning then?

Wow. I think I actually got whiplash in my fingers from entering that so fast. O_o Is the computer just shoved inside a plastic tank, or is it a tank-shaped computer?micah211 wrote:I never wanted to work in a restaurant, let alone fast food, but CFA was my one exception. No one knows...but oh, how I would like to. <3
Also, you should be happy that there's "that guy". Because if you work someplace that doesn't have "that guy"...you probably are, that guy. O_o
I have no idea...Maybe a 50/50 split, is in order? But that would still lessen the impact of Christmas day.RedPlums wrote:I've never understood why you would open all of the presents on Christmas Eve. What is the point of Christmas morning then?

I'm torn, because I love Christmas morning. The presents, the breakfast, the general air of happiness and thankfulness...yet opening them on Christmas eve would mean you opened them sooner...
I hadn't, until now. I would think so, I 'spose. Solomon had gold out the ears, so it seems like he would also enjoy throwing parties.

I still prefer opening presents on Christmas morning, even if Eve is closer. I can wait the 10 hours.

Pleh. That doesn't make any kind of sense. XD It's the perfect compy for a gamer, regardless of age. Especially since it's in a tank.micah211 wrote:She is the rudest person ever.

Egg Nog?
Egg Nog is the golden elixir of the holidays, and one of the few non-alcoholic drinks that can knock you off your feet from sheer lusciousness. I found a jug on discount for .99 cents last month and oh...I drank it till it hurt. XD I may or may not have danced around my kitchen singing about it. >_>
Ten hours? :O Who waits ten hours? We're usually up at six. Actually, I'm up at four, but I've been threatened with getting tied to a chair if I woke anyone else up at that hour.RedPlums wrote:Ever think of how many children he must've had? Favourite Star Trek alien?
Probably Klingon; especially with all the arcs from DS9, where they were shown to not just be rampaging murderers, but warriors with honor.
No, actually. Though I almost bought Infinite space, once.Deepfreeze32 wrote:Played any PlatinumGames games?

Well it has been a long standing rule in my parent's house that presents will not be opened before 7 nor people awakened before 6 without consequences. So, we will happily and patiently wait the night through.

Which is why I am threatened with getting taped to a chair. XD We usually get up at six, and are digging into presents around 8. Last year, I think we woke up at 8 or so, since the party wasn't until the 26th. Not my fault I can't sleep though. I sincerely try, and fail.RedPlums wrote:Well it has been a long standing rule in my parent's house that presents will not be opened before 7 nor people awakened before 6 without consequences. Gandalfs, if that is what you mean. I'm honestly not sure, though I am rather sleepy.

That answer is correct, his new white staff is my favourite. Aang's staff from Avatar is my favourite from the small screen.

Save corruption is the worst?
I was playing Mass Effect over the weekend, as the urge to play the trilogy had struck me. So I installed Mass Effect 1, and set to playing it. I had gotten to the final battle (I won't spoil it beyond that), when some friends asked if I wanted to play a multiplayer game. So I said sure, and saved and quit.
Come back an hour later. My save file is gone. Poof. The file still exists on disk, but when I try to load it in-game, I get a "This save cannot be loaded" error. And thus ends my interest in finishing Mass Effect 1. XD

Oh goodness. <3 I would eat those. I am going to have to look up a recipe for them, as we are making our cookies next week.micah211 wrote:My mom made eggnog cookies that were gone in 2 days...
Best Christmas cookie?
Best Christmas cookie is a tough one, because there are thousands of different cookies. O_o A well made white-chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie will send you weeping to the floor. That's not necessarily Christmas specific, though that's usually when we make them because of the cost of the ingredients.
Likewise, a hand-crafted sugar cookie is amazing. I made some over Halloween that I plan on replicating, because they were the best ever. There's also those nuclear-colored crackle cookies that have fifty different names...those things too, I can eat myself sick on (I have, in face, been accused--not unjustly--of hoarding those. I blame the person that made them; if they had given us more than five, I wouldn't have had to hide them from everyone else, now would I? Yeesh).
However, I *think* a well made Gingerbread cookie takes the cake. They are simple, easy to make, and delicious. I've been experimenting with making mine diabetic friendly-ish, using whole wheat pastry flour and Pyure+molasses for sweetener, and I usually make a double or triple recipe, and run out before Christmas. Heavily spiced, deliciously thick, moist and chewy. You want to grab them by the handful and shove them in your face.
Part of their disappearing is me filling a gallon bag full of them and hiding them in my room. If you blame it on Santa, you can get away with this, but then you feel guilt for blaming something on Santa...
That said, there are a half dozen more cookies that I love, and it's hard to pick. I just really, really want some gingerbread cookies right now. O_o
I had forgotten about Aang's...you really need airbending for it to be worthwhile, though.RedPlums wrote:That answer is correct, his new white staff is my favourite. Aang's staff from Avatar is my favourite from the small screen.

Depends on what is within the hundred pages, I guess. And if I wanted to read it, or I *had* to read it. Because *having* to read anything makes it an onerous task, even if it's something you enjoy.
Oh, that hurts. XD So much...That's why I keep multiple save files when I can, and get very tense when playing games that don't allow you to have multiple files. That's actually become a thing for me, after losing several dozen hours of gameplay over the years. O_oDeepfreeze32 wrote:Save corruption is the worst?

Or heaven forbid, autosave. O_o I've had autosave save right after a glitch, ruining the file, so many times it isn't even funny. O_o
