Just picked up...

The Lightning Thief

And

The Shining.

I'm not sure which I want to start first. XD

Haha! I've had the Lightning Thief for forever but just never felt like reading it... got distracted... maybe I should read it...

Still reading The Bourne Identity... man, Bourne is such an unlikeable character... :x

What's the Lightning Thief about? I'm intrigued by the title alone.

I really disagree about the Bourne bit.... but then, it's interesting to see just how different the book's version of Bourne is from the film's, isn't it?

From what I can tell....

....it's about a boy named Percy Jackson.

He is a demi-God. (Half-God)

The title is referencing the main plot of the book, which is someone has stolen the lightening bolt of Zeus and Percy Jackson retrieves it.

Or so the flap says. XD

Ohh, it's one of the Olympian books? My friend tells me that he likes them and that I would too, but I haven't seen them anywhere around.

Yep.

The series is Percy Jackson and the Olympians

The movie looks great, from what I can tell. XD

BTW, I decided to read The Shining First.

Enjoying it so far, although it is........definitely crossing the line on family-friendly with the language. XD

Yes, it is. I was totally expecting it to be different, though. So it didn't disappoint me at all.

But, I really don't like Bourne. He has no qualities that make you want to root for him...

That book isn't family friendly. Not in language, violence or sexual content.

If you're old enough, though... the book is mind-blowing.

Drew agrees. <_<

The Sword Bearer, by John White.

It's a really good book. the whole series is good up until book five. Namely, because John died and some other guy finished them. And did a bad, lame job of it. -_-
