Sadly enough... I never got into The Legend of Zelda. Didn't have a Gamecube or Gameboy or any other Nintendo consoles growing up and few friends I could borrow from, so never got on board.

While I could say something cliché like Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, I'll stick to some others instead (although all things considered, that album is quite the experience).

Death From Above 1979's You're a Woman, I'm a Machine is among one of my personal favorites. Anybody who has not had the chance to foray into the works of this crazy drum and bass guitar power duo should give it a try. Love it or hate it, it's different and will stick to you. Very raw.

Twin Peaks' Sunken is perhaps my all time favorite album, as it epitomizes many of the archetypes of rock music I love - it's loud, brash, fuzzy, bright, and occasionally thrilling. It's like listening to audio equipment smiling. Their followup album, Wild Onion, is also fantastic in my opinion.

Death Grips' The Money Store is a recent favorite. I can't understand for the life of me why I enjoy it. I struggle to enjoy normal hip-hop, and this is hyper-profane overblown hip-hop madness. Brace yourself.

Swans' The Seer is crazy. I haven't made it all the way through this two hour post-rock leviathan. It will sedate you and chill you like a morphine snow-cone. To Be Kind, their most recent work, is even creepier.

Honorable mentions: The Flaming Lips' Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Death From Above 1979's The Physical World, Gringo Star's Count Yer Lucky Stars, and the late Johnny Cash's Out Among the Stars.
