I do not know. Seems like...a whole lot of waste to me.

Sounds incredibly fun to make.
As demonstrated in this show:
James May's Man Lab is a pretty great program about man things.
The concrete counter top starts at 8:00, but I recommend the whole thing.

Saw that one a long time ago. Preferred Wallace and Gromit.

They're cool. I generally stray to the more common PB&J or an occasional PB and honey.

Haven't used Github, or even Git. My company tried using Mercurial for a while, but it seems like a lot of developers have a hard time switching to a distributed revision system.

I'd try it. If it's good enough for the the Doctor, it's good enough for me.
I don't know if you ever heard of Feast of Fiction, but they make food from various movies, shows, and games and give you the recipe.

Well, the old salty ones who use something like SVN or (God forbid) Borland StarTeam might.
Git is pretty amazing. It does everything I need it to do, and it's a great way to move projects across workstations.
What do you think of the concept of a code portfolio?

I wish it was SVN. We had this atrocious software called Vault. I can't believe they paid money for it.
We now moved to TFS, which I'm not particularly thrilled about. One of the downsides of working at a microsoft shop.
A code portfolio could come in handy for some jobs, but I don't have one. Honestly, I don't really know what I'd put in there. It feels a little odd to me. Unlike art work or design, code isn't written for itself, it's to solve a problem. Like, do you write some code that looks pretty nice, but really doesn't do anything? And on a bigger scale than just well managed code, what design structures do you choose to manage your software? A code portfolio begins to look like a full software package.
So, I don't know. Some employers ask for code samples, which it would help then, but I don't know much about putting one together.

I have beaten Bastion lately, (Pretty crazy game.)
and even had those three songs you mentioned in the video game music thread stuck in my head for awhile.
Favorite part of the game?

Easy, hands down:
Spoiler:
When you put down your rocket launcher, pick up Zulf and carry him out as the Ura begins to hold their fire at the last minute, in respect for your actions. Probably the most powerful display of forgiveness in a game I have ever experienced.
