Had one. No good.
Then got guinea pigs, which were a little better. They handle better with people, but I have no respect for them. If I'd take them out of the cage to clean it, they'd just go right back in. I eventually killed them on accident by giving them scurvy, by feeding them bunny food (no vitamin C).
So, we got bunnies after that. Which are better. They don't make as much noise, and run around a bit more. They are semi-potty trained, which isn't bad.
Yeah, my wife likes cuddly critters. I learned by lesson and drawing the line. No more of them creatures unless it's a Husky that I can name Odin. Or Thor. Or Freya (if it's a girl).

Don't get a husky unless you are constantly in motion and don't mind bringing a dog with you. They are not the flavor of dog that sleeps a lot. Or for longer than 45 seconds.
