It's got a Korn feel to it, musically. Head was their guitarist, after all, so... he was bound to have brought some Korn into his music. The vocals are very different than Jonathan Davis'. Not bad, though. And of course, the lyrics are totally different. XDbattousai akuma wrote:How is that album? Been meaning to get it.Nix wrote:Save Me From Myself<--Brian Head Welch.
I just downloaded The Slip for the second time, hoping to get rid of the static. It didn't work. I think I need to buy the album.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

Just recently:
Dance or Die - Family Force Five.
I've listened to this thing twice, and I have to say I'm rather disappointed. First they were a party band with dumb, yet tongue in cheek lyrics, and some cool riffs and raps. Now they're just a party band with dumb lyrics and almost entirely all electronic instrumentation. That isn't to say that the songs are catchy, but some of them are just plain bad. C+
(Yeah, I'm giving grades to albums now)
Razia's Shadow: A Musical - Forgive Durden
I'm listening to it now, and I've never heard anything like it. Shivers literally went up and down my spine with the musical introduction of Barayas the spider, and everything is perfectly mixed to create an entire atmosphere of this foreign world. Could easily become a favorite album, but I haven't finished it yet, so no grade.

The Lost Christmas Eve-Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
Moments of brilliance followed by moments of melodrama. I am a fan of instrumental rock and the instrumental tracks were very good, especially Faith Noel. I also liked the story behind the album concept. However, some of the male vocal-centric tracks were...disappointing. The power metal esque style voices didn't really work for me accompanied by piano or acoustic guitar. A little too...operatic without the accompaniment of great music. All in all, a good Christmas album, but not a great album.

I am not insane....I merely perceive the world differently.
