On the other hand I know now why people do the whole "I need to talk to you about something important...later" thing. It's totally a power play. Maniacally evil laughter is almost needed. It's a way to assume control of someone else, or at least fill them with dread. I know because I did it earlier, and it was like the Emperor in episode III. O_o "I need to talk to you later...it's important."

And then I was like "...heh. Heh heh heh. BWAH HA HA HA HA HA. POWER. UNLIMITED POWER!!!!!!!!"

So...yeah. Bad times.

The Force Awakens?

I remain skeptical of The Force Awakens.

J.J. Abrams is not a bad director or writer. But he has not exactly inspired confidence with the two Star Trek reboot films. I loved some of the casting choices, but the whole movie lacked the Star Trek feel, you know? Lens Flare...lens flare everywhere.

On top of that, I've managed to piece together what I think the story is...and I'm not exactly pleased with what I came up with.

I'll ultimately reserve judgment until I see it, but it will take a truly incredible movie to make it as good as A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back. I don't think they can be better than those, in my personal opinion.

I think he's a terrible director...but at the same time, I really enjoyed the prequels, and it's kind of hard to imagine it being worse, I guess? Knock on wood. O_o

Though I too, doubt it'll hit the glory of the originals. It'd be literally mind blowing if they did. I guess it's possible.

Going to the premier in costume?

I mean, if that's your thing, go for it.

I have work the next day, and then I'm hightailing it out of dodge until New Years eve. Maybe I'll see it when I'm visiting family. Maybe not...

I also have no costume to speak of. XD

People keep trying to get me to dress as a Jedi for the premiere. I'm like "Why? Do you need more material to freshen up your mocking of me?" -_-

Nevermind that I have a Jedi costume and an Ultrasaber. That's unrelated. >_>

Keeping food in your pockets: Great idea, or just weird?

Depends. Is it wrapped or otherwise contained, and not super messy? I see no problem with it. I sometimes kept a granola bar in my cargo shorts pockets in college.

But anything gooey or unpackaged? No thanks.

Does fried chicken count as packaged?

Did you at least wrap it with paper, plastic or something?

Cuz if not...eww. Lint/hair/whatever is in your pocket from your pockets on your food, and then food on your pocket linings.

Non-soluble fiber. That's all that is. >_> Plus, I find the smell of fried food emanating from my person pleasant.

Sweet barbecue, or tangy barbecue?

I prefer spicy barbecue, but I'm not sure if it qualifies as sweet or tangy (Tangy is kind of a vaguely-defined word when it comes to barbecue, in my opinion).

I've had Memphis style barbecue, which was ok. I've had Carolina-style barbecue which was kind of nasty. XD

But Texas barbecue will always be my favorite.

I use the word in the sense of its normal usage; something having a sour or tart characteristic. I tend to prefer a more sharp barbecue rather than an overwhelmingly sweet one. But I can't remember the last time I turned down any barbecue, so...

The world needs more unicorns?

Depends. Literal unicorns? Or unicorns as in the sense of something "special"?

I have a problem with the latter. You see, some startups are called "unicorns". They are startups who, usually with a rough prototype or business pitch, manage to attract a lot of venture capital (We're talking millions here). However, this sort of speculation on who will succeed was part of the reason for the dot com bubble bursting. In and of itself venture capitalism is not bad, but the sheer amount being swirled around the tech industry is (in my opinion) priming the tech industry for another bubble. Some companies survived the dot com bubble, some didn't. Who's to say who will and won't this time around?

Anyway, enough economics. :P

Generally, when I talk about unicorns, I mean literal unicorns. Because who doesn't like unicorns?

Forgetting important tasks?

That's why I'm probably going to get fired from my current job. :(

Look, hypothetical person complaining about my performance. I'm sorry I have a terrible memory. Truly I am. But when I'm going crazy because of insane work processes, please don't hold me wholly responsible. At least some of the blame is on the corporation.
