An absence of "wet paint" signs can really ruin your day?

Yeah. I would agree with that.
Though falling behind on your story because of life crap is equally ruinous.

I'm sorry Deep. You can totally still do this though. ^_^
Have you tried pouring large amounts of soda and junk food down your gob in order to put you into the sugar-rushed creative mode?
Or possibly put you in the bathroom for 8 hours...

I haven't had the will. I haven't had the will to do, well, anything. I hate my job, I hate every job I've ever had, and this is not conducive to earning a living. But at the same time, working is perhaps literally killing me. The car accident was borne out of frustration from work and the awful commute, and work leaves me feeling like a shell of myself. This is how I felt while working at Walmart, and I am not ok with that. I can't do this anymore.
And I don't know what would be better. My parents are all "You're just lazy and don't want to work." Maybe they're right. If this is what "work" means, then yes, I would rather not. But if this is what "living" is, then, well, I don't see much of a point. Work till you die, or work until you retire and are too old to enjoy the same things you once did. Get no enjoyment out of what little free time you have while you work. Bleh.

I wish I had an answer for you. I really wish I did. I don't really know you, know you, per se. But I do know, with absolute, italicized, certainty, that no one graduates college with a degree if they're adverse to work or lazy. That's a given certainty. So...mayhaps grab on to that, and use that bit of truth to scare off the darkness crowding around your heart and mind right now.
I'll pray for you though. Which honestly, probably doesn't make you feel better; but regardless of how it feels, God does care about you, and your happiness. This too, is something I know.
Internet hugs?

I do appreciate the gesture, even if it doesn't "solve" the problem. I just wish sometimes I had been able to choose my SPECIAL stats when I was born, you know?

If you don't mind me interjecting... I just read a great book called "Yes! Energy" that kind of helped me turn around my attitude, too. Some of what you posted above is actually addressed in this book. I think it could help you as well - not just with helping to improve your perspective toward your talents and gifts, but to give you inspiration on how to use those gifts to make a living for yourself - one that you might actually enjoy.Deepfreeze32 wrote: And I don't know what would be better. I borrowed a copy from the library, but I'm thinking that I need to purchase a copy to keep - both for me to read again, and to lend to family members who also could use a change in outlook. Do you think this could help you?

I do. Very much so. Might've been tempting to just pay them all into "luck" of course.Deepfreeze32 wrote:I do appreciate the gesture, even if it doesn't "solve" the problem. I just wish sometimes I had been able to choose my SPECIAL stats when I was born, you know?
Cranberry sauce: Chunky fruit sauce, or gelatinous fruit mass?

It might. I feel like a change in career type is also in order, but we'll see. I'll look into it.Sstavix wrote:I borrowed a copy from the library, but I'm thinking that I need to purchase a copy to keep - both for me to read again, and to lend to family members who also could use a change in outlook. You and me both, luck would be exceedingly useful. Though maybe luck and intelligence, with a good amount of Charisma. Then I could get by pretty well.Chozon1 wrote:I do. Very much so. As for cranberry sauce, I remain torn. The chunky fruit sauce is great, but the gelatinous stuff is good too. I'd give a slight preference to the sauce just because it's got a good amount of, well, sauce in it.

Wait...Sauce sauce, or just the quality of being saucy? I don't ever add sauce sauce to ours. It's just a nice sweet/tart fruit chutney. Sometimes, with walnuts.
Our ham has "sauce" in it. But we don't talk about it in front of my largely baptist family. >_> Just take in the compliments and hide the bottle.
Turkey is actually largely overrated, and should be replaced with the ceremonial slicing of the pizza?
Also, look at that word count. ^_^ Good job amigo.

Agreed on the pizza. Tis a good thing.
The word count is good, but I'm behind schedule. I blame janky laptop keyboards.

I'm not a fan either; my lappy doesn't have a keyboard, but even if it did, I still think I'd use my USB keyboar.
But hey, you're really close. ^_^ Keyboard bedimmed. You've totally got this.
There's only so much pie you can eat per day?
I was recently informed that we should only ever make one pumpkin pie, since no one likes it and it always gets thrown away. To me, that was a challenge, and I now find myself rushing to consume a pumpkin pie as reasonably fast as possible. O_o

There's only so much of, well, anything you can eat in one day.
Though if we're being honest, I prefer savory pies to dessert pies. <_<

I actually agree with that 100%. I was musing earlier that, on any other given day, there's no food item on my Thanksgiving menu that I'd rather not have pizza instead of it.
When that person wants to leave two hours ahead of time, and you're like, "But...it's only a half hour drive"?
