And actually, the farther you get into Harry Potter, the less juvenile it becomes. That was part of the point, as Harry grew, so did the books. I enjoyed them. LOTR is, however, better. :D
Yeah... I tend to say more than needs to be said. XD

Also, totally agreed with the second bit of your post.
I figured you were secretly a Potter head.

XD Oh the references will never quit...

I'm dying to finish the series, but can't for another year and a few months. Bah, I only had three left.

Anyways, I finished The Nanny Diaries, charming little book, chock full of offensive content. But it was amusing.

And now on to Adam.

I'm getting ready to read "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" by Jane Austen and Seth Graeme-Smith. Just to give you a taste, here are the opening lines of the original Pride and Prejudice and the new, zombified version.

Original: "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."

Zombie: "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains."

I love fun, pointless summer reading. :D

I want to read that, but certain people keep telling me not to.

(Namely, my girlfriend and my parents)

I'm currently reading Lord of the Flies.

It's.....different.

Can't say it's terribly interesting though.

Haha! I didn't really think so. :)

Say... any Artemis Fowl fans here?

Mmm, I'm reading "Walking From East to West: God in the Shadows" by Ravi Zacharias right now. It's an auto-biography of his life. Very, very interesting - gives me some perspective of some of his stories that he uses in his messages.

LOTR: The Return of the King.

Epicness. Best book in this thread.

Philosopher's Stone

Probably my least favorite in the series, though that doesn't mean it was bad. It was most certainly a very enjoyable read.

Chamber of Secrets

Kind of on the same level as Philosopher's Stone, but still epic.

Prisoner of Azkaban

This is around where I got hooked. It introduced Lupin and Sirius (a couple of my most favorite characters), and it started getting steadily darker. I loved it muchly.

Goblet of Fire

Not as good as Prisoner of Azkaban, but still great nonetheless.

Order of the Phoenix

Wooooow. By far my favorite out of the bunch so far. Harry was a bit of an emo prat in the beginning, which got annoying after a while, but he got much better along the way. The ending was... incredible. I've never experienced a fight scene in written word that was as tense as the one in this book. Seriously. It was amazing.

Now... I'm starting in on Half-Blood Prince.

Wait... I should take that back. No Country for Old Men was pretty intense all the way through.

Started on The Road. Cormac McCarthy for the ultimate win.

Absolutely. Once I finish The Road, it'll be Silence of the Lambs. Not McCarthy, but still great literature.
